ST. CLAIR SHORES — The hunt is on for the unknown white male who reportedly exposed himself to a 7-year-old boy and urinated on him inside a restroom at a local municipal pool.

St. Clair Shores Police Detective David Spens said the incident occurred at around 3 p.m. Thursday, July 22 at the Lake Front Park pool, which is reserved for residents of Grosse Pointe Woods.

The pool is within St. Clair Shores city limits on Jefferson at Marter, thus is policed by their department.

“The boy was in the restroom near the pool when he was approached,” Spens said. “He (the suspect) came up behind him and asked if he would like to look at his penis.”

The victim told police that the suspect had his penis exposed through the opened zipper of his trousers when he asked the question. The man then urinated on the boy’s left shoulder.

Spens said the victim reported the incident to his grandmother, who was waiting outside the restroom facility.

“It’s disturbing to any parent, or anyone,” Spens said. The detective said the boy was not physically touched by the suspect and was otherwise unharmed.

Spens said the grandmother attempted to confront the suspect when he exited the restroom. The suspect ignored the woman and walked away, he said.

The suspect is described as having a tan, or possibly olive-colored skin. He was wearing a University of Michigan baseball cap, a bright blue shirt and khaki pants. He has a thin build and short hair.
