The 2010 baseball season came to a close for Troy and Athens in district play. Athens fell in the D-1 district final in a 6-2 loss to Rochester High. The Red Hawks made it to the final after beating Utica High 15-0 in a semifinal and Troy 5-4 in a June 1 pre-district. |

It was hard not to notice the 2009 Utica Eisenhower baseball team. The Eagles were the ones hitting home runs, averaging more than 10 runs per game, and they had senior Division 1 college prospects Griffin Jones on the pitching mound. |
